Minelab GPX 5000 overview

Released in 2010, the Minelab GPX 5000 belongs to an earlier generation of pulse induction detectors, using MPS, DVT and SETA technologies with bi-level transmission. It is a serious tool for gold prospecting, supplied with two coils and carrying a 3 year limited Minelab warranty. Hunters in Pakistan who work mineralized ground often look at pulse induction models like this.

Eight soil timings let you match the machine to the ground, from General and Deep through Hi-Mineral, Patch and Hi-Trash, plus Coin/Relic, with Salt/Gold and Fine Gold at the end. Ground balance may be fixed or tracking, and Quick-Trac helps with fast resets. A transflective 64 x 128 pixel LCD with white backlight shows settings, and audio goes out through a 6.35 mm jack.

The detector ships with two coils: a 15 x 12 inch Monoloop plus a round 11-inch Double-D. The 68 Wh lithium-ion pack is good for roughly 12 hours. The detector is 43.3 to 51.2 inches long and weighs 5.3 lb without the battery, which adds 1.7 lb. It is not waterproof. Box contents include a vehicle charger and Koss headphones.

Price is given on request over WhatsApp because import costs change from time to time. Message us with your city and we confirm current stock, then arrange delivery anywhere in Pakistan.

What soil timings does the GPX 5000 offer?

It has eight: General and Deep first, then Hi-Mineral, Patch and Hi-Trash, and finally Coin/Relic together with Salt/Gold and Fine Gold. Choosing the timing that fits the ground and target type is how you tune the detector for gold, coins or relics.

Can the GPX 5000 be used in water?

No. This model is not waterproof, so it must stay out of water and heavy rain. Plan searches on dry or damp ground and protect the control box from splashes and spray.
