As an earlier-generation model, the Minelab Equinox 800 uses Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency technology, with single frequencies in five steps from 5 to 40 kHz. Its search modes are Park, Field, Gold and Beach, and eight setting profiles are available. The Gold mode makes it a flexible choice for hunters who search for both coins and gold. Made in Australia, it is covered for 3 years, control unit and coil included.

Tuning options are generous: sensitivity 1 to 25, recovery speed 1 to 8, and noise cancel in automatic or manual from -9 to 9. Ground balance can be automatic or manual. The display offers 50 discrimination segments, ferrous IDs from -9 to 0, non-ferrous from 1 to 40, a five-level depth indicator and an adjustable backlight.

The EQX11 11-inch round Double-D coil is supplied with a cover, and the whole unit can be submerged to 3 meters. Its internal lithium-ion battery gives as much as 12 hours of runtime.
