Minelab Equinox 700 overview

The Minelab Equinox 700 uses Multi-IQ together with single frequencies of 4, 5, 10 and 15 kHz. It is rated to a depth of 3 to 4 feet, is made in Australia and has a 3-year warranty. It is a good fit for coin, relic and beach hunters who want multi-frequency detection without the Gold mode found on the 900.

Search modes are All Metal and the Park, Field and Beach families, with a pair of presets in each, along with a custom user profile and pinpoint. Discrimination has 119 segments, ferrous Target ID runs from minus 19 to 0 and non-ferrous from 1 to 99. Sensitivity is 1 to 28, and noise cancel is automatic or continuous automatic. A 5-level depth indicator adds more detail.

The detector weighs 1.27 kg, extends to 144 cm and folds to 61 cm. It is IP68 waterproof up to 5 meters. The internal lithium-ion battery is 5100 mAh, and the EQX11 11-inch round DD coil is standard. Included are ML 85 wireless headphones plus screen protectors in several languages, and sound can also come from the speaker or from a 3.5mm headphone socket.
